My Story

Secwépemc actress and director, Grace Dove is based on the traditional, ancestral and unceded territory of the Coast Salish peoples–Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish), Stó:lō and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) and xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam) Nations.

She/Her rose to international relevance with Iñárritu’s The Revenant, and has since played leads on features, How It Ends  and Monkey Beach, an adaptation of Eden Robinson’s novel of the same name. Her directorial debut, Kiri and The Girl, premiered at VIFF and SDIFF, and she recently wrapped the leading role on Marie Clements’ Bones of Crows.

When the red carpet is rolled up, and tucked away she facilitates her own youth-empowerment program “Thunderbird Dreams” in communities.
